With God

Lord, all that you’ve been to me thus far,
What is it that you are preparing me for?
I know you had for me a purpose,
But I forget it at times and get into distress.
   
Situations and people pull me away,
And Satan too has got his way
To take me in his sway
And lead me all astray.

I’m sorry I’ve upset you;
Lord, I didn’t intend to,
But that’s what I’ve been to;
Forgive me and get me through.

Thank you Father for helping me out,
Together we will fight it out.
Lord, I give you my hand;
Take it and lead me as you planned.
